Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with Abigail’s Petal Press, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

Natural Ageing Disclaimer

  • As flowers press, their colours naturally change. For example, white may become cream or brown, red flowers can darken to burgundy, pinks may become purple, and blues can darken or fade. I will endeavour to press your flowers in a way that maintains their beauty, however they will not look the same as fresh flowers.

  •  The texture of pressed flowers is different to that of fresh flowers, as pressed flowers become paper-thin and matt.

  • I am not liable for the natural ageing of your finished frame over time. I advise that you display your finished frame away from direct sunlight and humidity to preserve the colours in your frame, however over many years the colours may fade and change. I see this as a beautiful reflection of the passage of time.

Condition on Arrival and Transit Risks

  • I am not responsible for the condition of flowers upon their arrival. If flowers have taken too long to be shipped or been packaged poorly, they may arrive mouldy or damaged. In this situation I will be unable to press your flowers. I will be in contact with you to discuss how you would like to proceed in this situation. Some of the flowers may be salvageable for pressing. Alternatively, I may be able to collaborate with a florist to recreate your bouquet for pressing. I will be in contact with you prior to your event to discuss shipping times and packaging methods, to ensure that this does not happen.

  • I am not responsible for any shipping damage or loss to your flowers during transit to me.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your flowers are properly packaged following my instructions.

  • It is your responsibility to post your bouquet to me within 1-3 days of your event, to ensure they arrive in good condition.

Deposit and Payments

  • Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure a date in my press and cannot be rebooked at short notice. If I have to cancel your order for any reason (e.g., illness) then your deposit and any payment you have made will be refunded.

  • Full payment for your frame must be paid before your event. Your finished frame will not be returned to you if you do not pay your full balance. If you fail to pay your full balance, I reserve the right to dispose of or recycle your flowers after four months.

  •  Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, these items are ‘bespoke and personalised’ meaning they are exempt from standard 14-day return/refund periods.

Artistic Interpretation

  • By placing an order with me, you are consenting to me using my artistic interpretation in the pressing and arranging of your flowers. Please make sure you have looked through my example images, and that you like my style and trust me with your flowers. If you have specific design requirements, then please discuss these with me before you place an order to ensure that I am a suitable artist for your requirements. I will discuss any design ideas you have and will always aim to create a beautiful piece of artwork that you love.

  • I will likely not use every flower in your design due to the size limitations of the frame. I will always pick the most beautiful and well-preserved flowers to include in your final frame. If you wish to have any leftover flowers posted back to you, this can be included with your frame for an additional £10 fee.

Turnaround Time

  • I aim to post all finished frames back within 4-8 months from your event. I reserve the right to extend this timeframe during busy periods, and will be in contact with you throughout the design process so you are kept informed.

Legal Information

  • This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Please view my privacy policy on my website to see how I manage personal information.

  • My total liability for any claim is limited to the total price you paid for your order. Because flowers are perishable and irreplaceable, I cannot be held liable for "sentimental value" or emotional distress if they degrade or are damaged. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
